Not every destination is far away; some are within the United States, showing that travel is returning to pre-pandemic levels on both national and global scales.

If you’re looking for where to travel this summer, check out the list below. Google has compiled data from searches in December through March and figured out the five destinations people want to go.

Places like London, Orlando, and Cancún are topping the list this summer, which may not surprise more experienced travelers, but it shows that interest in travel is returning.

Finally, the effects of the pandemic are starting to lessen.

Check out five of the most popular summer destinations according to Google Flights:

Orlando, Florida

This is the biggest city in Central Florida and has the most visitors in the entire state. Orlando has massive theme parks like Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

The theme parks alone draw in millions of crowds, and this summer is no different. Orlando is also developing a local perspective for travelers with neighborhoods like Mills 50 and Downtown Orlando.

These small but mighty neighborhoods create (or reinforce) a different culture from the theme parks. Hotels like the Grand Bohemian Hotel Orlando Autograph Collection reopened after an 18-million dollar renovation with a new rooftop pool with city views.

This is just a taste of what The City Beautiful offers, and searches this summer reflect that. Take advantage of what the real Orlando can deliver outside the theme parks.

Rome, Italy

Rome is known for a few things like gelato, fantastic architecture, and some of the best food on this side of Europe. Searches have been increasing because this is such an excellent place to visit.

Traveling this summer is going to be a blast for a lot of people. According to Google Flights, these spots will be the most popular. But wherever you end up is going to be a good time.
