Summer season is about to begin, but many travelers are already thinking ahead and booking Winter getaways, and Air Canada seems to be very aware of their customers’ needs.
The Canadian carrier has recently announced new routes to sunny destinations next winter.
Now that travelers want to save money, reduce risks and plan ahead of the holidays, they have new international destination ideas and enough time to prepare accordingly.
And seats are already available for purchase. Air Canada will soon serve routes to:
- Fort-de-France, the capital of the Caribbean island of Martinique.
- La Romana in the beautiful Dominican Republic.
- Los Cabos, the luxurious beach destination in Mexico.
- Monterrey, Mexico’s third largest city.
The new routes will depart from Toronto and Montreal, and the carrier also increased frequency for other existing routes to top destinations like Miami, Las Vegas, and Phoenix.
Air Canada keeps expanding its network, and including exciting routes in 2023, as just a few weeks ago, the carrier also launched direct flights to Dubai.
According to the press release, the carrier also optimized connections so that passengers have more and better opportunities to connect Europe to North America as well.

What Are The New Itineraries?
Air Canada is now including great destinations to avoid freezing weather, explore interesting locations, and learn about rich cultures abroad. These are the new itineraries:
From Toronto to Monterrey
This will not be a seasonal route, and it makes sense. Monterrey is gaining popularity as a business and industrial center.
However, its beautiful natural surroundings, amazing rooftops, great restaurants, and top-notch museums make it a great option for tourism as well.
Air Canada wants to serve this route year-round, and the new itinerary will begin on October 29.
The flights from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) will depart on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 18:00, arriving at Monterrey International Airport (MTY) at 21:35.
From Monterrey, flights will serve this route on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, departing at 10:05 and arriving at 14:55.
From Toronto to Fort-de-France, Martinique
Those who want to explore the exotic French Caribbean will now have a great opportunity to do so and should consider traveling soon, as this will be just a seasonal route.
Flights begin on December 16, departing from Toronto (YYZ) on Saturdays at 08:15 and arriving in Fort-de-France at Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport (FDF) at 14:20.
From Fort-de-France, itineraries are also on Saturdays, departing at 15:25 and arriving at 20:05.
From Montreal to Los Cabos
Los Cabos is expected to become Mexico’s Most Popular Destination soon, and Air Canada will offer a new route from Montreal.
Air Canada will serve this seasonal route starting on December 1, departing from Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) on Fridays at 08:00 to arrive at Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) at 12:40.
From Los Cabos, flights will also depart on Fridays at 13:40 and will arrive at Montréal at 21:05.
From Montréal to La Romana
Also a seasonal route, Air Canada will offer its customers the opportunity to escape to paradise and enjoy the beautiful warm beaches in La Romana.
The new service will begin on December 17, and the flights will depart from Montréal (YUL) on Sundays at 09:10 and arrive at La Romana International Airport (LRM) at 15:10.
From La Romana, also on Sundays, flights will depart at 16:10, arriving in Montréal at 20:05.
Air Canada’s 2023 Expansion
This year, Air Canada has also increased capacity and added more flights and larger aircraft to multiple routes.
Flights from Vancouver to Las Vegas, Phoenix, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Miami, Los Cabos, and San Diego have doubled—or almost doubled— frequency and seats compared to 2022.
From other Canadian cities like Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Edmonton, more seats have also been added in 2023 to top destinations like Cancun, Miami, Orlando, Turks and Caicos, Bermuda, Curacao, and Punta Cana.
