The low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines announces new routes from top cities in the United States to Puerto Rico, one of American travelers’ favorite beach destinations.
The new services will take travelers from Cleveland, Tampa, Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago Midway, Orlando, and Dallas-Fort Worth, to the beautiful Caribbean island.
Frontier Airlines is also offering very special prices, one-way fares starting at just $59—from Tampa— and for less than $100 until May 9.
Those who want to take advantage of the promotion must act fast, as the introductory fares depend on availability and the seats are limited.
Frontier is covering great Caribbean destinations in 2023. The carrier also announced new routes to Montego Bay, Jamaica, starting at $149 a few weeks ago.
This time, the ultra-low-cost carrier is offering very attractive prices to compete against other airlines like JetBlue, which also announced new services to Puerto Rico starting at $99.
What are the itineraries?
The new services will take travelers on direct flights to San Juan, Aguadilla, and Ponce.
These are the itineraries, frequency, and fares from the United States to Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan (SJU):

What Does The Introductory Fare Include?

Frontier’s standard fare includes just one personal item and miles for members of the Frequent Flyer program. Travelers can purchase a seat selection and a carry-on or a bag for an extra fee.
Those who travel extra-light can fly to Puerto Rico at a very low cost or pay a little extra to travel more comfortably and bring more items along.
The carrier is also offering travelers its Go-Wild Pass as an opportunity to get unlimited flights for a discounted price during the summer season.
What Can Travelers Expect From The Destinations?
Besides gorgeous beaches, there are plenty of things travelers can do in San Juan, Aguadilla, and Ponce.
In San Juan, tourists can visit the beautiful Old San Juan, a historic district with colonial architecture and interesting museums.
Aguadilla is a great destination to connect with nature and for adventure travel. There is a water park called Las Cascadas with thrilling rides and wonderful hiking trails.
And in Ponce, visitors can walk in La Guancha, a beautiful recreational complex right next to the beach, and enjoy the view of the sea while eating and drinking at one of its restaurants.
