Udaan India, the provider of Visa Services in India, recently completed a 1000 passengers group visa to Greece, submitted across India, the whole process was well coordinated and submitted on time.

Commenting on the latest trends in Visa Processing Rajan Dua – Co-Founder and Managing Director, Udaan India said “It is now a common trend to book flights and hotels early. We urge you to do the same for visas too. Most countries accept visa applications up to 90 days (3 months) before your date of travel and now Schengen countries accepts visa up to 6 months before your date of travel.

Apply well in advance of your planned travel dates to avoid last-minute surprises and plan ahead the weekends, public holidays and respective countries embassy holidays and have few buffer days for unexpected delays and courier days. Also in my opinion, abstain from ‘visa shopping’, unfortunately a trend prevalent among Europe-bound travellers as tourists tend to applying for Schengen visas countries wherever appointments are available. We strongly discourage applicants from doing so, as this could lead to visa rejections and complications in future travel.”

Few trends that we notice this Summer Season 2023

1) E-Visa Facilities: Many countries have introduced electronic visa (e-visa) facilities for Indian passport holders. This simplifies the visa application process by allowing applicants to apply online and receive their visa electronically, eliminating the need to visit embassies or consulates in person.

2) VAYD: Visa At Your Doorstep for select Schengen Countries, this is doing exceptionally well for us across the country, especially in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. In a short span of 2 months, we’ve clocked over 800 pax across 12 cities.
3) Increased Scrutiny and Processing Times: Due to global security concerns, some countries have strengthened their scrutiny of visa applications. This might lead to increased processing times and more stringent / additional documentation requirements.
4) Visa Interview Waivers: Some countries have introduced visa interview waivers for eligible applicants. This allows individuals to skip the in-person interview and submit their applications directly, reducing the overall processing time.
5) Expedited Processing: Many countries offer expedited or premium visa processing services for an additional fee. This allows applicants to receive their visas in a shorter period, which can be helpful for urgent travel plans.
