Celebrity Cruises’ newest ship, the Celebrity Ascent, will be the largest ship in their fleet, with a capacity of 3,950 passengers.

Part of the cruise line’s Edge class, this ship boasts more than 30 unique dining options, including restaurants, bars, and lounges. It also offers nightly entertainment, several swimming pools (including an adults-only pool), a rooftop garden, a luxury spa and fitness center, and more.

This ship also has a private, ultra-luxurious section which is reserved exclusively for guests in The Retreat, an all-suites accommodation area. Guests in The Retreat will enjoy a private pool, sundeck, bar, restaurant, lounge, and other amenities.

Where Will The Celebrity Ascent Sail?

The Celebrity Ascent will officially begin sailing in December 2023, but travelers have a chance to preview this ship on one of two early sailings.

Once the normal schedule begins, this ship will make sailings in the Caribbean during the winter and spring of 2024 before moving to Europe for sailings in the summer and fall of 2024.

How You Can Preview The New Ship

Celebrity Cruises has announced two preview sailings that will occur before the Celebrity Ascent officially starts its voyages in December 2023.

The two preview sailings will depart from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Guests can choose between two itineraries in November 2023 to preview the ship:

• 4-night Western Caribbean itinerary on November 22, 2023, to Cozumel, Mexico
• 3-night Bahamas cruise on November 26, 2023, and visiting Nassau, Bahamas

These shorter preview cruises are a great way to experience Celebrity Cruises’ newest ship and get a taste of what the cruise line has to offer.
