Radisson Hotel Group is expanding its Scotland portfolio with the signing of Radisson RED Edinburgh Airport. Situated less than a mile from the airport, Radisson RED Edinburgh Airport will be a newly built property and is set to open in late 2025.

The hotel will feature 204 guest rooms, including 6 junior suites, which will follow Radisson RED’s signature bold and stylish design. Its bar and restaurant will sit on the top floor, overlooking Edinburgh Airport and featuring outdoor terraces. Also on the top floor will be approximately 2,000 sq ft of meeting and event space, including a 1,300 sq ft conference room.

Radisson RED is a brand that incorporates art, music, and fashion into its service to offer an unforgettable stay to all guests. The Radisson RED brand has a presence in other UK locations, including the multi-award-winning Radisson RED Glasgow, the flagship Radisson RED Liverpool and fellow properties at London airports.

Adela Cristea, Vice President, Business Development UK & Ireland at Radisson Hotel Group, said: “We very much look forward to bringing our fun and vibrant Radisson RED brand to Edinburgh Airport. It will offer business and leisure travellers a relaxed stay within an informal setting to kickstart their holiday or unwind after a long journey.”

Development Manager, Creos Property, said: “We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Radisson Hotel Group. The combination of their world-class management expertise and their lifestyle-focused Radisson RED brand made them the perfect partner for this project. Together we look forward to bringing an exciting new dimension to the West Edinburgh hospitality offering.”

Edinburgh Airport, which catered for more than 11 million passengers in 2022, will be accessible via shuttle bus from the hotel and Edinburgh city centre can be reached in 30 minutes by car. The Scottish capital is home to striking architecture and historical landmarks, such as Edinburgh Castle, Arthur’s Seat and the National Museum of Scotland. It is also famed for its festivals, such as the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, which has become one of the world’s biggest celebrations of performing arts.
