Las Vegas is an ever-changing playground of spectacular shows, flashy casinos, and over-the-top nightlife.  From entertainers to luxury hotels and restaurants, Las Vegas is constantly adding new world-class attractions to ensure visitors have a unique and unforgettable experience.  

This year will bring quite a few exciting additions to the City of Lights, including new museums, a massive entertainment venue, and a year-round horror-themed experience by Universal Studios.

Here are six of the best new attractions coming to Vegas in 2023:

1. Punk Rock Museum

Las Vegas has its fair share of quirky museums, but one of the most anticipated openings of this year is the Punk Rock Museum. The museum, which opens March 10, will display items like show flyers, photos, and clothing of famous punk rockers. 

Guests can even play instruments that have been contributed by their favorite bands. Possibly the highlight of the entire experience is the guided tours (starting in April) by actual punk rock legends. General admission tickets for the museum are $30, but a guided tour has a heftier price tag of $100.

2. Museum of Illusions

Another new museum joining the strip is the Museum of Illusions.  With locations in over 30 cities around the world, this will be the largest so far at over 15,000 square feet.  Visitors young and old can experience perspective-changing rooms, art installations, and immersive illusions.  Originally planning to open in November 2022, it has been delayed to early spring of 2023, but a more specific date has yet to be announced.

Prices for the Vegas location are also unknown, but other locations worldwide range from $10 to $25. The Museum of Illusions franchise is growing fast, adding multiple new locations stateside and world-wide.  Some of the upcoming U.S. locations include Denver, Houston, and Boston.

3. MSG Sphere

This massive entertainment venue is sure to stand out on the Strip, despite being up against some pretty iconic buildings. Once finished, it will be the largest spherical structure on the planet and will have the capacity to welcome over 17,000 people. The MSG Sphere’s wraparound LED screen will provide a fully-immersive experience for guests, and the venue will host both live acts and other multi-sensory media events.

If that’s not enough to impress, the exterior display can also be customized for all of Las Vegas to see. The Sphere’s construction has also been delayed, but visitors can expect a launch date this fall, with the legendary U2 scheduled as the inaugural performance.

4. Atomic Golf

The STRAT is another icon of the Las Vegas skyline.  Previously the “Stratosphere,” it is home to the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States. The complex includes a hotel, casino, SkyPod, multiple restaurants, a resort-style pool, a rollercoaster, and, coming soon, the Atomic Golf Range.  

This 4-story digital golf arcade will contain interactive golfing games, dining options, restaurants and lounges, and even a meeting space.  It is set to open in late 2023.

5. Universal Immersive Horror Experience

Universal Parks and Resorts announced this brand new attraction in January as a result of its wildly popular Halloween Horror Nights.  This will be the company’s first permanent horror experience and will be an expansion of the Area 15 entertainment complex – a 110,000 square foot expansion. 

The attraction, which hasn’t been formally named, will feature seasonal and themed immersive horror experiences, as well as dining and bars. 

6. Game of Thrones: Dragons

Another recent announcement is the Game of Thrones: Dragons attraction.  Very little has been disclosed about this upcoming attraction, leaving fans to speculate what the experience actually entails. It is hinted that it is not a theatrical show but yet another highly immersive experience.

The goal is to allow guests to “step inside the world of Westeros,” according to the official website. Although the website doesn’t give much information away, those interested in the mystery experience can sign up for updates.
