The Slate Phuket is the only hotel in Thailand to be named amongst TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Out of the Ordinary hotels, a title given to only the top 1% of the 8 million hotels on the platform. TripAdvisor bestows this honor to hotels with a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from its community over a 12-month period, and each winner passes rigorous trust and safety standards. It signifies the highest level of excellence in hospitality.
“We are delighted to have been named amongst the very best out-of-the-ordinary hotels in the world by the TripAdvisor community, because these awards are voted on by our past guests, and verified by TripAdvisor through a thorough authentication process,” said Krystal Prakaikaew Na-Ranong, owner of the hotel. “This award is testament to the high level of service our teams provide to our guests every day and to Bill Bensley whose whimsical imagination has made The Slate Phuket so different to other hotels on the island.”
The Slate Phuket’s General Manager Claude Sauter said the award belonged to the diligent staff who bring such pride to their work every day.
“The Slate is a hotel that stands out not just for its avant-garde design and rich history, but because our team is passionate about interacting with our guests and providing memorable experiences for them during their stay,” he said.
The Slate Phuket is a designer masterpiece nestled amongst playfully landscaped gardens on unspoilt Nai Yang Beach. It has been meticulously designed to tell the story of Phuket’s rich tin mining history, where bold, industrial elements, whimsical landscaping and colourful art deliver rich storytelling. The all-suite property offers 177 villas and rooms, eight restaurants and bars, three outdoor pools, an art gallery, fitness studio, tennis courts, kids club, award-winning spa, conference facilities and a designer boutique.
Only 20 hotels in the world were given the prestigious title, with The Slate Phuket joining other extraordinary hotels including Maison Souquet Hotel & Spa in Paris, Ayada Maldives, 1908 Lisboa Hotel, and Banyan Tree Cabo Maques in Mexico.
