The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon, is going all out for Pride Month this June to celebrate diversity, individuality, and all that you are. We have lined up a ton of activities, promotions and of course, delicious cocktails just for the occasion!

Here’s what’s happening this month:

Come and get ready with us for the “Bangkok Pride 2023 Parade” on Sunday, 4th June!

In support and in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community both inside and outside of our company, we have organized Pride themed activities at The Parlor which will serve as the “pre-event” venue for the “Bangkok Pride 2023 Parade” for those wishing to join the Pride Parade. We’re excited to be a part of this growing movement!  Co-hosted by non-profit org. Naruement Pride and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), the theme this year is “Beyond Gender”, and will celebrate all communities, diversities and expressions of self. The parade will kick off at 14.00 at BACC, and will move onto Rama 1 Road towards Central World for an afternoon of activities and celebrations.

In collaboration with WIBWABWUB, a Bangkok-based supplier of biodegradable glitter service, guests can get into the spirit of the Parade; glamming up with make-up and face painting by professional artists before they hop on our Pride bus to join the start of the celebratory Parade at BACC.

Tease x Eric Tobua (1st June – 15th July)

You know we don’t Tease about scrumptious afternoon tea. A special collaboration between The Standard and artist Eric Tobua will take over Tease for Pride Month, under the concept of Day DreamTobua will create a magical installation inspired by the colors and positivity of Pride for a whimsical expression of joy and celebration. The installation will be filled with flowers that express celebration and happiness, butterflies that speak of beauty and freedom in a multitude of colors in representation of Pride.

Tobua is well known for his illustrious creativity and for his iconic headpieces. His distinct and diverse style has made him a trusted force in the local and international fashion scene.

Expect a deliciously decadent savory and sweet menu, with selections such as the Tiger Prawn Slider and Iberico Tartlet, as well as Red Velvet scone and Macarons to brighten up the afternoon. Priced is at THB 980++ per set per person. Available from 1pm – 6pm, daily at Tease.

Twerk Class at The Standard Gym (10th June, 3pm – 4pm)

What better way to celebrate Pride Month than to twerk it out a little? Not only is it a total workout, you’ll have a lot of fun as well. The instructor for this session will be influencer Khun Front Pimpitcha, who is actually a twerk instructor, so you’ll be in excellent hands!

Come join us, don’t be shy! Entry is free to our gym club members and hotel guests. Outside guests are more than welcome, and will need to purchase a day pass for THB 800+.

Capsule Collection: The Standard x I Wanna Bangkok at The Standard Shop

This is a unique collaboration for special items between The Standard x I Wanna Bangkok. Local fashion designer I WANNA BANGKOK brings to life a Pride inspired capsule collection to sell at The Standard Shop. Under the concept of PRIDE, the designs are playful, free and striving. This will be a capsule souvenir collection for those looking for fun gift ideas to share with loved ones. The collection was inspired by The Standard Bangkok’s multi-colored, quirky and eclectic rooms and interior, making it a truly unique product line.
