Beaches, you either love them or hate them. For some, there is no better way to spend a holiday than by laying in the sand, feeling the waves lap at your feet, and enjoying the smell of sunscreen and whatever foods the locals are selling.
For others, the idea of baking in the sun and taking half the beach home with you in your clothes is some sort of nightmare.
The good news for the sand-averse travelers out there is that there are more than enough other ways to pass your time while traveling instead of checking out the endless beaches of the world.
But, for the sun-seekers and the wave-chasers out there, a new study has come out listing the most beautiful beaches around the world.
Data from over 300,000 TripAdvisor reviews for beaches around the world was analyzed, looking for mentions of beauty, marine life, natural wonders, cleanliness, and clear water. Using these metrics, a list of the best beaches around the world with the most natural wonders was compiled.
The top 7 beaches span four continents, each offering some stunning natural beauty. So, grab your umbrella and your flip-flops, and find out which beaches made the cut.
These 7 Beaches Were Just Named The Most Beautiful In The World:
1. Playa De Muro, Spain
Situated on the northeast coast of the ever-popular Spanish island of Mallorca, Playa De Muro is a somewhat new holiday spot. Nestled in the Bay of Alcudia, Playa De Muro was built especially for tourism.
While it might lack the historic and authentic charm of some other Spanish beaches, it makes up for it with its nearly 8km of fine powdery sand. People especially like the shallow water that goes quite far out, making it the perfect spot for swimming.

2. Spiaggia Dei Conigli
If you haven’t heard of Italy’s Spiaggia Dei Conigli, it might be because it’s nearly hidden. This beach is tucked away on the southern coast of one of the Pelagie Islands, on Lampedusa Island in Sicily, to be precise.
Also known as Rabbit Beach, the first step in reaching this beach is to make your way to the island of Lampedusa, which is connected to Sicily’s main island by ferry and plane. As a constant figure on the best beaches of Europe list, Spiaggia Dei Conigli is a protected part of a nature reserve and therefore retains its natural beauty and clear turquoise waters.

3. Falasarna Beach, Greece
On the west coast of the Greek island of Crete lies Falasarna Beach. A favorite with many because of its local amenities and the wide open patch of pinkish-white powder-fine sand.
This beach is no secret, and many come here to enjoy the stunning landscape, but the large square footage leads to a less crowded feeling than other beaches in the area.

4. Baia do Sancho, Brazil
If a beach is only accessible via a walkway through the woods and down a long ladder through a narrow rock crevice, you know it’s gotta be good. And Baia do Sancho is more than good; it’s constantly ranked as one of the world’s best beaches.
This beach is located in a national park on a small island of the volcano archipelago Fernando de Noronha, off the coast of Brazil. Baia do Sancho is perfect for those who like nature and blue-green waters crashing amongst some seriously jagged cliffs.

5. Turquoise Bay, Australia
For a country with somewhere in the vicinity of 12,000 beaches and nearly 40,000 miles of coastline, Australia is not short of beautiful beaches to visit. So for one to continuously make the list of best beaches in the world, there must be something special about it.
You can find Turquoise Bay in Cape Range National Park, in the North West Car region of Western Australia. This sandy beach with crystal clear waters is the gateway to the well-known Ningaloo Reef.

6. Nissi Beach, Cyprus
In the lively area of Ayia Napa in southeastern Cyprus, Nissi is the most loved beach in an area that has no end of postcard-worthy beaches to brag about. Almost always crowded, and with party music and events happening at all hours, this beach is not for those who seek some peace and quiet.
The water is shallow and clear, and the sand is powdery fine; what more could you want?

7. Nungwi Beach, Tanzania
Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous province of Tanzania, both of which are growing in popularity with travelers from abroad recently, and Nungwi, located on the northernmost tip of the island, is arguably the best beach here.
The sand is white and fluffy, and the beautiful rock formations jut out of the water all along the beach. You might talk a walk after nightfall, when the tide goes far out, and notice all the starfish and urchins as the sand sparkles under your feet.
