United Has Launched New Flights To Dubai
[ad_1]
Following up on United’s previous announcement last September, they have officially joined forces with Emirates and its sister airline, flydubai.
This partnership will enable travelers to connect to over 100 destinations from Dubai, all on a single booking made through United’s official website or app.
Passengers should expect an easy check-in and seamless luggage transfers no matter the destination.
But first, travelers have to get there!
Earlier this week, United was proud to launch their highly anticipated new route – Newark (EWR) To Dubai (DBX) – as they are now the only United States carrier to provide nonstop service to Dubai.
More On This New Route
While United passengers have a plethora of options via Dubai, United will also provide Emirates passengers with easy access to over 200 American destinations.
It’s a win-win for both sides. This route was in service previously many years ago but ran out of juice in 2016 when the two airlines butted heads over market share disagreements.
Emirates passengers have been able to fly to nearby JFK airport nonstop for years, where they have an upscale lounge that will continue to stay open as part of this new partnership.
They have also flown to Newark, but this route has a stopover in Greece. Now it will be much more convenient.
That is if anyone considers a 14-hour journey convenient! This 7000 mile journey through the clouds will operate daily out of Newark at:
- Departure at 10:15PM with arrival at 7:40PM the following day

Conversely, the daily return trip from Dubai back to Newark is as follows:
- Departure at 2:15AM and arriving at 9:05AM on the same calendar day
Being the second-largest U.S. airline, United has many loyal customers. Those who take part in the MileagePlus rewards will earn miles on eligible bookings, even when connecting with Emirates or flydubai.
The Customer Experience
Both Emirates and United take customer service very seriously and have put their money where their mouth is by investing in the overall experience for their passengers.
Emirates has always been known as a luxury airline and is synonymous with Dubai in terms of its lavish reputation.
Now that they are partners, United has stepped their game up and feels confident in what they offer jet setters as well.
Here are some benefits that travelers can look forward to enjoying:
- Emirates has recently upgraded over 100 planes in its fleet, including a vegan-friendly menu and a cinema in the sky
- United has a vast array of entertainment options on board, including a new game center accessible from United’s easy-to-use app
For travelers in United’s Polaris business class:
Travelers will enjoy an adjustable head-rest that shapes 6 different ways
- Multiple storage options for personal items
- A console for water bottles
- A universal power outlet for all electronic devices
- A cocktail table that expands for more space
- Live TV provided by DIRECTV
All of these benefits can be found on the Boeing 777-200ER, which has officially taken flight on the first Newark-Dubai route this week.
What’s New In Dubai?
Dubai is a gargantuan city that is constantly evolving. Tourists will never run out of exciting experiences when visiting here.
Now that more Americans will have easier access to the major hub of the UAE, perhaps this extravagant new resort will be a worthwhile place to stay.
Palm Jumeirah is one of the highlights of the city as there is really no other place like it on Earth.
Atlantis The Royal is the latest addition to this region and has glowing 5-star reviews pouring in about recent tourist experiences.
In recent months, Dubai has changed the course of its views on alcohol consumption. This makes their city more welcoming to the typical Western tourist when their country heavily relies on tourism.
Dubai no longer enforces a 30% tax on alcohol sales, nor do require one to pay for a liquor license to consume alcohol at home.
Although, a 5% VAT fee will still be charged. Travelers will no longer need to travel far and wide across the UAE to find certain places to drink, and they can also save more money now doing so.
